Residential Donations

Give furniture to help a family living in poverty and preserve the environment. Each family receives 13-15 pieces of furniture for FREE, thanks to you - and your furniture will be in another family's home in 2-3 days.

FREE Pickup within ONE Week of your call

The pickup is FREE when you provide at least one essential item listed below. We appreciate your help in bringing your furniture donation items to the main floor. If you are unable to do this, we will gladly assist with removal of your donated furniture from any floor.

Furniture Needed by Families living in Poverty:

To receive a FREE pickup, please provide at least one of the following essential items:
          BEDROOM - Matresses, Box Springs (with a mattress), Dressers
          LIVING ROOM - Sofas, Loveseats, Stuffed Chairs
          KITCHEN - Kitchen Tables, Kitchen Chairs
          OTHER - Washers, Dryers (electric only), Refrigerators, Stoves

If we are making a pickup at your home, we will gladly accept the following additional less critical household items:
          Coffee tables, end tables, night stands, lamps
          Bed linens (sheets, blankets, pillows), bed frames (with mattress only)
          TVs (working, up to 32")
          Small appliances (microwaves, vacuums, coffee makers, etc.)
          Dishes, glasses, pots, pans, kitchen flatware
          Freezers
          Bookcases, student desks (up to 24" x 48")
          Cribs (no drop sides), high chairs, strollers, car seats
Or, we will happily accept your drop-off donations at our facility, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm

All donated appliances and electrical items must be in WORKING order!
All furniture and baby items must be SAFE!

Please, we CANNOT accept:
          Worn furniture with rips, tears, stains, or visible pet hair
          Furniture in need of repair to be usable
          Waterbeds / platform beds
          Furniture from insect-infested homes or buildings
          Large desks / metal desks
          Exercise equipment
          Holiday decorations
          Knick-knacks

As Easy As A Simple Phone Call

Our professional staff removes the furniture from your home or storage location, and puts it onto our truck - we do ALL the heavy lifting.

Enjoy scheduled arrival times with an optional 30-minute call-ahead confirmation. We'll call you the afternoon before to confirm our planned arrival.

A Tax receipt is provided at the time of pickup. The Furniture Bank is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please consult with your tax professional for tax deduction details.

On occasion, we may choose to sell your donated furniture to help fund our work. But we never sell more than 1.5% of all furniture donations received - Helping families in need is our top priority!

The Furniture Bank service area is within the circle shown on the map below. You are always welcome to drop off furniture during regular business hours, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Just Need Help with Removal of Household Items You No Longer Need?

If you have items that we cannot accept for donation, but just want to get rid of, we would be happy to refer you to a well-regarded local service that will be happy to provide a quotation for coming to pick up these items from your home (removal included). Simply call us and ask for their phone number or web site address.
